I then worked in an East London college of further education as a College Nurse and trained as a counsellor during my time there. I went on to specialise in sexual health and contraception and set up a specialised counselling service for young people within a&nbsp;sexual health clinic. All these experiences led me to train as relationship and sex therapist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f4f4\">Having a medical background helps my practice as a counsellor and sex therapist. I also work with people who have physical illness and the impact this is having on their lives.
